Salary: negotiable based on experience
Traveling position: generally in the Southeast (out of our Atlanta office)
Our Apprentices support the team’s efforts, and may be required to perform both skilled and unskilled labor tasks. Previous experience working in a construction environment is preferred. A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness/aptitude to learn new skills is required. A commitment to delivering projects on time and the ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment is critical. Tasks you can expect to perform include helping to close out projects, receive and manage inventory, and help to maintain a clean job-site. You will receive direction and training from the field superintendent regarding flooring, fixtures, painting, light carpentry, services of insulation for your home, check here for more and minor punch list items. The list is not exhaustive.
This position can lead to other positions within the company. You will learn a lot in this role. This is a job with upward mobility, health benefits and an attractive 401k profit sharing plan.
The good news: you will work long hours, (be paid for OT and for travel); learn new skills, become acquainted with small southeastern towns you might not otherwise visit.
The bad news: you won’t have much free time to spend all the money you will make in OT… which translates into good news… a growing savings account. If you need more money though, you can also try earning some on games like BETEND.
REQUIREMENTS:
- reliable transportation, must carry appropriate insurance coverage (required limits)
- a valid driver’s license & good driving record,
- a willingness/flexibility to travel extensively and work long hours, days/nights and weekends.
- be the kind of individual that your team can count on.
- basic arithmetic skills.
- experience working in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines
- familiarity with hand tools
- experience working in construction environment is a plus
- authorized to work in the USA and
- willing to undergo a background check and drug screen.

Fulcrum Express is the roll-out/refresh division of Fulcrum Construction, a nationwide general contracting company specializing in retail commercial construction. We work with the country’s top retailers and developers. Fulcrum Express’ projects include work that transforms and enhances retail environments in multiple locations such as multi-site refresh programs, requiring ADA upgrades, fixtures, partitions, painting, flooring, graphics, décor and general repair services. Our teams are highly flexible, hardworking and efficient in completing projects on tight schedules and budgets. The teams travel extensively completing work in multiple locations in a short span of time. Weekend and night work will be required. Breaks to travel home are scheduled into the project plans but be forewarned that the team can be away from home for multiple weeks.
